and hang-ups including sex disorders or drug and alcohol addictions with a
Christian 12 step program based on biblical principles.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered 12 step program based on biblical
principles with the purpose of letting God restore our mental, physical, emotional
and spiritual health with His healing power. Through Celebrate Recovery’s 12
steps individuals can begin healing and gain freedom from drug addiction, hurts,
habits and hang-ups. Many drug rehab centers are adding CR to their treatment
program.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY 12 STEPS AND SCRIPTURES

We admitted we were powerless over our addictions and compulsive behaviors. That our lives had become unmanageable. Romans 7:18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity. Philippians 2:13 For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God. Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship.

Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves. Lamentations 3:40 Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD.

Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being, the exact nature of our wrongs. James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.

Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character. James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Humbly asked Him to remove all our shortcomings. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all. Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Made direct amends to such people whenever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. Matthew 5:23-24 Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be
reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it. 1 Corinthians 10:12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!

Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and power to carry that out. Colossians 3:16a Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly.

Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others, and practice these principles in all our affairs. Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY 8 PRINCIPLES

Realize I’m not God; I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and my life is unmanageable. “Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor”

Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to him, and that he has the power to help me recover. “Happy are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted”

Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control. “Happy are the meek”

Openly examine and confess my faults to God, to myself, and to someone I trust. “Happy are the pure in heart”

Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects. “Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires”

Evaluate all my relationships; Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I’ve done to others except when to do so would harm them or others. “Happy are the merciful” “Happy are the peacemakers”

Reserve a daily time with God for self examination, Bible readings and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.

Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words. “Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires”

12 Dramatic studies on the parables of Christ in this DVD-based study. The parable films included are: Hidden Treasure, Good Samaritan, The Shrewd Manager, The Widow & Judge, The Sower, The Prodigal Son

“Have you ever wondered how Jesus might have told his parables in twenty-first century America? How would the characters have been portrayed? What modern cultural elements would have proved central? Compass Cinema’s portrayals are by far the most clear, riveting, superbly acted and biblically faithful contemporizations of Jesus’ parables that I have ever seen. The DVD comes complete with excellent written materials for individual or group study. I highly recommend this work.” Craig S. Blomberg, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor of New Testament, Denver Seminary

“The excellence with which the films were done, the accuracy of the film to the text, and the emotional connection with how 1st-century hearers would have felt are the three big benefits of this study. This series is a great way to show the undeniable relevance of the Bible to the video culture we live in today. I personally understand the parable of The Shrewd Manager better now than I ever have and it is most assuredly due to the lessons learned from Modern Parables.” Judd Rumley, Singles Pastor, Denton Bible Church, Denton, TX

(Click Here to View Growth Groups Schedules)

A support-group study that offers practical, biblically-based guidance to lead adults to identify, understand, and come to terms with the feelings and problems of growing up in a dysfunctional family. This course will help adults who grew up in a home in which one of the family members had emotional needs so strong that they disrupted the development of healthy relationships. Participants will understand problems from the past and identify and remove emotional, psychological, and spiritual barriers to fellowship with God. (12 sessions)

God can use this book to reveal and heal deep wounds from your past. I recommend this book to anyone who is READY to honestly and courageously look at their past and open their heart to God’s healing. This study has opened my eyes and my heart to a loving, powerful, reliable, trustworthy, merciful and forgiving God; not the God of my childhood as I understood Him. It has really changed my life to work through these studies.

I went through this workbook a few years ago and God used it to change my life… RADICALLY! I highly recommend this to anyone who is struggling with their thoughts or just about any issue. Tim Sledge walks you through step by step how to deal with things you may have buried deep inside yourself.

For 14 years, I’ve been trying to find the answers… Answers to my depression, anger, loneliness, low self-worth… I didn’t know where these came from, and how to deal with them. THEN, here it is.. this book answered all my questions. Wonderful book.. wonderful insight by Tim Sledge. I sincerely thank him for giving me the new life.. Finally I find the peace in my mind. Praise the lord!
